The principle of attraction : Female biting insects require blood to nourish their eggs. They get that blood from you, your family, your pets and your friends.

Mosquitoes detect the presence of certain chemicals (such as lactic acid sweat glands) in the air through short hairs on the antennae. Mosquito Attractant, which works together with mosquito traps, create a combination of those cues. This tricks the insects into thinking the trap is a host.
